Important Details 

PE - Tuesday and Wednesday (please wear school PE kit on these days). 

Home work - Home work is handed out Friday and returned by the following Thursday. This will consist of a mixture of online websites, written work or creative work throughout the year and will include a rotation of maths, English and science. Children will only get one piece of homework per week, alongside reading and spellings. On special occasions, we may do homework that involves creating a model for Olympics day or a shield for the Romans. These are just some of the exciting examples in year 3. Children are also encouraged to engage with TTRockstars, Purple Mash and MyMaths as much as possible. 

Spellings - New spellings will be given out each week on Wednesdays. Please could all children do their spellings at home in preparation for a spelling test that takes place every Wednesday morning. The more practise, the better your results will be and they also improve your written work too! Children will then be given a new set of spellings after their test, ready for the following week.

Labelling clothes -

Unfortunately, the lost property box inside school is always overflowing with school uniform that is not returned to it's owner. This is due to the items of clothing not having a name inside or that the biro has been washed away. Please could I kindly request that all removable items of clothing such as jumpers and coats are clearly labelled with the child's full name. Uniform is very expensive so it would be lovely to see them returned back to the correct child. I may even do a little dance!
